About Vision For Access

About Us

We’re an accessibility-focused CIC led by the lived experience of sight loss. Our mission is to break down barriers and create an inclusive world through digital accessibility audits, resources, and training. Beyond digital spaces, we run community projects that improve wellbeing, skills, and opportunities, ensuring people with sight loss are supported to thrive, feel valued, and empowered.

Our Story

Vision for Access CIC was born from lived experience.

I’m Mark, the founder of Vision for Access CIC, and I’m registered as partially sighted. For many years, I’ve navigated a world that often overlooks individuals like me, whether inaccessible websites, buildings that are difficult to navigate, or opportunities that always seem just beyond my reach.

What began as frustration evolved into a sense of purpose. I started to share my experiences, assisting organisations in understanding the concrete steps they can implement to become more inclusive, compliant, and truly inviting. The feedback revealed a significant demand for genuine, real-world accessibility guidance based on personal experience.

And so, Vision for Access CIC was born – a social enterprise that puts accessibility into action.

What We Do

Our approach is open, relatable, and friendly. We don’t criticise, but instead we collaborate. We seek to partner, inform, and inspire positive change across organisations and communities.

We provide:

  • Digital accessibility reviews and audits that highlight overlooked opportunities to be more inclusive.
  • Practical resources to ensure the fundamentals of accessibility are covered.
  • Workshops and training rooted in empathy, lived experience, and real-world examples.
  • Community-led projects that promote inclusion, well-being, and opportunities for individuals with sight loss.
  • Campaigns and initiatives to influence wider societal change, ensuring accessibility becomes the norm, not the exception.

Our goal is to eliminate obstacles and foster inclusive digital and social spaces by supporting organisations, public services, and communities to embed accessibility at every level. Drawing on personal experience and a deep understanding of practical challenges, we provide actionable guidance, training, and insight. We believe accessibility is not just a feature, but it’s a right. By working together, we can create a world where digital access, social inclusion, and equal opportunities are built in for everyone.
